Do Albanians have Thracian autosonal DNA? The answer is: Little/Nothing

The claim Albanians have Thracian autosomal is only based on some G25 models that overfit or qpAdm models that don't pass (SE<0.05, P>0.05), or E-V13 that could be of Thracian origin. For the Y-DNA, there is not a single Albanian clade that can be definitively linked to any Iron Age Thracian lineage, making it difficult to substantiate claims about its' origins since there’s still no many data available, but i’ve still gotten into a conclusion with facts.

  1. Will Albanians score a higher P.v with Thracians rather than Illyrians? No, Albanians for surely score higher P-Value with Illyrians instead of Thracians on qpAdm if a 1-Way model was done (as it has to be done) no matter what right pops will be used.

  2. Why do Albanians carry E-V13 like Thracians while “no” Illyrian had it? Now, the most reliable theory of the origins of E-V13 among Albanians is that it's inherited from the Dardanians which could’ve possibly partly been of Thracian origin which later on got intermixed with other Illyrian peoples.

  3. How do we know Dardanians possibly were E-V13? The Himera mercenaries with E-V13 are most likely Dardanians which score the highest P.v with the Dardanian female found in today’s geographical North Macedonia, that explains it all. (Again, no matter what right pops will be used, these Himera mercenaries will have a higher P.v with Illyrians than Thracians, of course in a 1-Way model as it has to be done.) 4. Why do G25 models show Thracian autosomal among Albanians We know very well that the Thracians were mostly of ANF ancestry, and Albanians are mostly of ANF ancestry as well. At this point, 'Thracian' is used mainly as a base component, rather than indicating actual Iron Age Thracian autosomal admixture. The same applies to the genetic connection between Ancient Greeks and Albanians: while there is no direct genetic link (such as in haplogroups), Albanians may still score on the Ancient Greek component in G25 for the same reason they score on the Thracian component

  5. Why do some QpAdm models tell that Albanians have Thracian admixture? As far as I've seen, none of those models work properly. For them to be valid, they need a p-value < 0.05 and a standard error (SE) > 0.05 (or >5%). The excuse that it's because of the 1240k file doesn't justify it. If any of these models could work, it's because the other left populations are well utilized and also because Thracians are a Paleo-Balkan population, similar to the Illyrians, so it could work, but not as effectively with the Illyrians, as Albanians would likely show a higher p-value with them.
